If you have old two way radio equipment you’re no longer using, we can help you to exchange, recycle or dispose of it safely under the WEEE (Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment) Regulations.
When old electronic equipment ends up as landfill rubbish, hazardous substances from electrical parts can cause soil and water contamination, harmful to wildlife and human health. WEEE Regulations aim to reduce this environmental impact.
RadioTrader is compliant with WEEE Regulations, so if you have old radio equipment lying around and you’re not sure how to dispose if it correctly, speak to a member of our staff for help.
Old electrical equipment is marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin to remind you not to throw it away with your other rubbish.
It often possible to repair and recycle your old radios. Our Radio Exchange scheme is a convenient way to dispose of your unwanted radio equipment and save money on the cost of upgrading to new equipment when you buy it from our shop.
