The Icom IC-F4002 is a tough, handheld UHF radio offering simple operation with outstanding audio and high performance. Although suitable for entry-level users, this professional, 16-channel two-way radio has numerous features and is an ideal communication solution for a wide range of business environments and industries. Performance
With Icom's high capacity, 1,500 mW speaker and clear audio, the IC-F4002 provides reliable communication, even in noisy environments. Longer operating time with reduced energy consumption is achieved with the BP-299, 3150 mAh battery pack. Other useful features include internal VOX capability for hands-free operation (optional compatible headset with plug adaptor cable available), selective calling, quiet standby, "stun" and "revive" functions, priority scan feature and Lone Worker function to monitor a user's safety.
Simple operation
There's no steep learning curve, as knobs and buttons on the IC-F002 are large, non-slip and easy-to-operate, even with gloves.
Built to withstand a rugged worklife
Although the Icom IC-F004 is a compact radio, with a height of just 111mm, the unit is built to withstand most day-to-day knocks and splashes. It's tested to IP54 standards for dust and water ingress resistance, and meets 11 categories of MIL-STD-810 environmental tests.
