Hand-portable Radios are available in two versions: CAPABLE and PREMIUM. These newly launched products' full capabilities can be found under the 'Key Features' section on this page.
The NEW Motorola Solutions R7 Series includes the R7a, R7 Capable, and R7 Premium. The R7a is a non-keypad radio, while the R7 Capable and Premium models come in both full keypad and non-keypad versions. All three models are available as TIA Intrinsically Safe with the appropriate battery option. Note that both the radio and battery must be TIA certified for full approval; a standard R7 radio does not become TIA accredited merely by attaching a TIA battery.
The R7a radio has a fixed feature set, the R7 Capable can be upgraded with a licence key for additional features, and the R7 Premium comes fully featured out of the box.
