Product Description
Standard Horizon's HX890E marine radio boasts a brand new easy to operate menu system with icons, a 6W transmit power output and one of the largest displays in a handheld VHF radio, measuring 43mm wide by 43mm tall or 58mm diagonal.
Included is an AC/DC charger and charging cradle, as well as an 1800 mAh Li-ion battery pack, battery case, USB cable, antenna, belt clip and hand strap.
Digital selective calling (DSC) enables location and identification information to be transmitted using the distress alert button on the back of the radio. With the waypoint navigation feature, the user is able to share their position and navigate to waypoints. Up to 250 waypoints and 20 routes can be stored on this device. Its group monitor feature allows you to continuously track and display position information of up to 9 pre-selected vessels.
The HX890E is submersible to IPX-8 (1.5m for up to 30 minutes) and designed to float face-up when dropped into water. Contact with water activates an emergency strobe light, even when the radio is turned off. The strobe can be configured to flash on and off, flash SOS or stay on continuously.
